5-7 PM
At this time, I’m usually still working at the office. I like to stay back until I’m done for the day so that when I’m at home, I can (try to) switch off. If I’m not heading to a business event after work, I’ll go straight home and have dinner.
With my busy work schedule, I’ve been ordering organic ready-made meals from Wilding Foods. This saves me time and eliminates decision fatigue. The meals are delicious and packed with protein.
7-9 PM
After dinner, I take my supplements, tidy up and reply to any personal messages. Running a business, especially in PR and social media, never really stops. In the evenings I often find myself jumping back online to work on pressing matters. By 8pm, by phone goes in to sleep mode. Notifications are silenced and this signals that it’s time to unwind.
I always shower in the evenings and then usually read a book or watch a series. I just finished watching Yellowstone. At this time, I’ll have a hot chocolate. It’s a nightly ritual that I can’t let go of. I use the Nib and Noble 40% Cacao Organic Drinking Chocolate with coconut milk.
9-11PM (or beyond)
At the start of my business journey, I didn’t prioritise sleep. Now, I know that health is wealth and rest plays a big part in that. On a typical night, I fall asleep at around 10pm.
Are you a night owl or a morning lark?
Morning lark! I love waking up early and use this time to journal, exercise and catch up on emails while everyone is still asleep.
What is the one thing that you do that always guarantees a good night’s sleep?
A hot chocolate and ending the day with gratitude.
Do you use any technology to track your sleep patterns?
I’ve been wearing an Oura Ring for almost two years now, which has helped me better understand what habits support my health and wellness. With knowledge comes power and I can confirm that my sleep has improved since wearing it!
Does your wind down routine change between weeknights and the weekend?
It does! I’m certainly more lenient with my evening routine on weekends, I typically go to bed later and sleep in, which feels like a luxury.
